Overview
INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW
Our Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at GMERS Sola provides care for all types of diseases and ailments related to women’s reproductive and genital health. Our department is fully equipped with state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. Here, we prioritize education, offering opportunities to next generation of medical professionals by providing comprehensive and practical educational programmes. Postgraduate teaching programme in our department was started in 2017 with an annual intake of 8 students. Our centre’s mission is to make quality care and treatment accessible to all of our womenfolk.
Facilities
AVAILABLE SERVICES/FACILITIES
• Complete prenatal and antenatal counselling with care.
• Medical termination of pregnancy and abortion services
• High risk obstetrics care
• Complete intrapartum care, conducting normal deliveries using safe motherhood practices
• Routine and high risk caesarean deliveries
• Cervical encirclage
• Cancer screening, diagnosis and management of all gynaecological cancers
• All types of gynaecological laproscopic surgeries ( conservative and hysterectomies)
• All types of vaginal hysterectomies including NDVH
• Urogynaecological services
• Mullerian anomaly related surgeries and vaginal reconstructive surgeries
• Hysteroscopic procedures
• Tubal reconstructive surgeries
• Infertility clinic for diagnosis and management including fertility enhancing services
• Family planning clinic for counselling and provision of services such as Lap TL, PPTL, PPIUCD, Hormonal implants, OCPs.
• Menopause clinic
• Adolescent clinic
• Diagnostic services such as pathology and radiology
• Diet and nutrition counselling for antenatal and lactation period
